🛏️ Using Your Bedding Accessories

How often should I change the matching pee pads?

It depends on your piggies and setup, but most customers change them every 1–3 days. Swap them out when they feel damp or show visible staining—it’s all about keeping things fresh and comfy.

Will my guinea pig chew the bedding or the pee pads?

It’s rare, but it can happen—especially with curious or younger piggies. Try placing chew toys near or in the bed to redirect nibbling.

Will my guinea pig actually use it?

Most guinea pigs take to fleece beds quickly, especially if the bed is placed somewhere they can hide, like under a fleece forest. Once they get comfy, it becomes their favourite flop spot!

Does hair stick to the fleece? Is it hard to clean?

Some hair collects on fleece, but our anti-pil fabric has a smooth finish—so it’s easy to brush or vacuum off. Leaving a little behind can actually help your guinea pig feel more at home and may reduce scent marking after a clean.

Will the tunnel and sack stay open, or do they collapse?

Our sacks and tunnels are boning-free by design, which means they can squish during play—but that’s exactly how many small pets like it! The flexible shape encourages natural behaviours like headbutting, burrowing, and flopping. If it gets flattened, simply open it up to reshape it in seconds.

Is the tunnel big enough for my guinea pig?

Yes! Each tunnel is approximately 11.5" long and 7" wide, making it roomy enough for even large adult guinea pigs. Many customers use them for boars, bonded pairs, or chunkier piggies with plenty of wiggle room.

What if my guinea pig just sits on top of the tunnel and the sack?

That’s totally normal—many guinea pigs use the tunnel and sack to flop on, especially in warmer weather. The lightly structured shape makes it perfect for both zooming through or lounging on top to cool down.

💧 Washing & Care

Do I have to wash the bedding every day?

No need! The custom-fitted pee pads inside the sack and the bed catch most of the mess. Just swap out the pads every couple of days (depending on how many pets you have), and spot-clean the sack if needed. The bedding only needs a full wash about once a week in most cases.

Are the pee pads really absorbent—and is it waterproof?

Yes. The Zorb Silvadur® core soaks up liquid fast and prevents odours, while the waterproof ripstop bottom prevents any leaks from reaching your bed or sack.
